Evernote

I don't particularly use Evernote. I don't usually have group projects and I don't usually save things on the internet. But when I do projects I find Evernote very useful. You can use it in classes, so everyone in class can work on it and it will edit the work very quickly. It is very easy to use which in my opinion is very important. I also find it very useful as you can use it on other devices such as: Blackberrys, IPhones and other potable devices. It is also free. Not many websites do that. Usually sites offer very little for free versions. Another good point is that it has very advanced search software. You can search notes or you can search in greater detail such as the tags of videos that you have put in a single note. There is another point which is one of the main reasons why Evernote is better than other sites. When you make notes, you can record things. Amazingly you can record up to 90 minutes in one note, while you are writing. The other main reason is, although you must have the premium account for this: you can access things offline. This is very useful. If you go to the countryside or anywhere else with no/limited internet signal this is a very handy tool. You can download the note to the device that you are using. It also, very handily, syncs to your computer. For instance, if you have been offline and added to your notes, the next time you sync your mobile device into your computer, it will update and post any changes that you have made. Also it is compatible with any other operating software. Anyone with an old operating software can still access it. Evernote can also help are basic needs. When looking for something to buy on the inernet, you can store the information a specific list on evernote.
Overall I think Evernote is fantastic, although I don't use it much, I think it is one of the best for storing and sharing information.

I.C.T Homework on how to share, store and discover information.

Discovering Information- One of the ways to discover information is from the internet. Headlines from the news sometime is an advertisement on your email. Obviously the other ways to discover information is by newspapers or even from another person. On televisions you can get documentaries or the news channel to where you can discover info. On the internet you can use Google to search up and discover info as well.
Sharing information- There are many ways to store info. First is by Person to Person which is very obvious. Emails can be sent and you can talk to people on sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Storing information- You can store information by many things. Google docs is one of the ways that you can do this. Documents will be saved on there and is safely on the internet. You can store information on phone and any other types of media as such.
There is also a site called "Evernote" which can use all three. It is a very good site in my opinion as not many sites can do this. For example Facebook's information can't be accessed when it's online. Evernote can do this and this is one of the reasons why it is very useful and can do all three things.

Book Stores

Book Stores
Book stores, today an important part of life for any keen reader, could be in danger of being outcompeted by the growing business in e-books. Currently, book stores serve as the middle men between publishers and the public. They make their money by selling the books for more than they originally cost but dwindling business could leave them unable to meet their overheads. The business relies on selling in bulk and making a small profit on each book sold. The introduction of e-books poses a serious threat to the business. The e-books are more convenient as they can be purchased directly from anywhere as long as you have a connection to the internet. Another advantage is that many books can be stored on one device. I think that e-books aren’t going anywhere and will in fact keep growing. There is evidence for this and ‘Amazon.com’ now sells more e-books than conventional books. I think that the bookstore business will survive, but only if they adapt. Perhaps they could explore internet sites and physical shops in an effort to make the best of both world or they could try and deliver books as this would help to counter the availability of the e-books. I think that a very important deciding factor will be the cost. At present, e-books are more expensive than regular books but theoretically there is no reason why they should be. If the price of e-books falls as I think it will, then maybe book stores will have to cut prices as well. So I think that bookstores will survive, but not as we know them. They will have to adapt to have a chance at competing against e-books. by Ashpen and Vishnu
